Abstract

Objective: Describe the positive and negative aspects in the implementation of the Teleconsulting System of the PHC service of remote municipalities located in the microregion of Januária, Northern Minas Gerais, Brazil. Methodology: Descriptive, prospective and qualitative exploratory study. A structured questionnaire was applied, with a previously established itinerary to 42 health professionals who work in Family Health and Oral Health teams. Results: Being a system of low complexity and great utility, was the main positive aspect reported by most professionals, besides considering that Teleconsultoria is beneficial for patients, reducing the number of unnecessary referrals. The negative aspects found are related to the lack of training to use the system, professional rotation, problems with the physical structure / connectivity, and little interest on the part of the professionals. Conclusions: It is hoped that the results presented here contribute to the diffusion of teleconsultoria as a mechanism of technological support to the health services of the country.
