Abstract
Objective: To analyze the bone and dental results obtained with the use of the Petit facial mask in a child patient, with Angle class III with posterior crossbite, through a clinical case report. Case Report: A female child patient sought specialized dental care complaining about the disharmonious appearance of her face. After anamnesis, clinical examination and orthodontic documentation examinations, the treatment plan was defined, with the use of the Petit Facial Mask associated with Hyrax being the choice for this case, in order to promote reverse traction of the maxilla, as well as maxillary transverse expansion. Subsequently, the case continued with corrective treatment starting with the installation of the fixed orthodontic appliance. Final considerations: The results achieved with the use of the Petit Mask were significant, with a notable improvement in facial harmony and the positioning of the patient's bone and dental bases, providing an improvement in the patient's quality of life and self-esteem.
