Abstract
Objective: To identify scientific publications related to home palliative care in adult patients with Noncommunicable Diseases and Injuries (NCDs). Methods: Integrative review focusing on the question "What is the importance/relevance of home palliative care in adult patients with noncommunicable diseases and injuries?". Articles published between 2014 and 2024 were analyzed in the SciELO, LILACS, BDENF, MEDLINE, SCOPUS and Web of Science databases. Results: 757 articles were located and, after the screening and eligibility stages, 11 were included for analysis. Three main themes emerged: the need for continuous training for professionals in the area, improving the quality of life of patients and reducing hospitalizations. Final Considerations: Home palliative care is essential in the treatment of patients with NCDs, with early adherence being advantageous. However, factors such as difficulty of access, scarcity of services and lack of specialization still limit its implementation, considering palliative care as a global public health priority.
