Abstract
Objective: To assess the satisfaction of patients with chronic kidney disease in a hospital in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, regarding the care provided by the nursing team. Methods: This is an ambispective, cross-sectional, analytical and descriptive study evaluating the perception of each patient regarding the nursing action, thus allowing for a view of the work, the desires and a rethinking in order to contribute to adequate treatment for patients. Results: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a public health problem characterized by the progressive loss of kidney function. Hemodialysis is the predominant dialysis therapy and such action, even if it is to give the patient a better quality of life, impacts the patient. Therefore, for patients to understand the magnitude of the disease, the necessary care and to live in the best possible way, professional support is of great importance to take care of health, clarify actions and monitor needs. Conclusion: The satisfaction of renal patients with the treatment was evident, and it can be said that this has repercussions in terms of adherence to health services, thus contributing to improving the quality of life of CKD patients.
