Abstract
Objective: To analyze researches that explore varied approaches to manage the door-to-balloon (D2B) time on patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), highlighting the relevance of optimizing hospital care times. Methods: OMann the timeframe between January and February of 2025, an Integrative Literature Review was carried out using articles from the article databases of EMBASE, MedLine/Pubmed, Web of Science, e CINAHL. This research followed the PRISM framework, and the selected articles were processed following the content analysis method. Results: Seven articles were included for addressing strategies like prehospital care ECG, Lean Six Sigma based protocols, use of digital platforms and STEMI codes activated by emergency services. The results highlighted the reduction on D2B time and improvement on clinical outcomes, with strategy variations depending on contexts and resources available. Conclusion: The review demonstrated that the combination of technological approaches, adoption of training and standardized protocols are capable of reducing ischemia time and improve clinical outcomes. Whoever, the application of said strategies requires adaptations to local realities and fundings on public health policies.
