Abstract

Objective: To describe the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients with infertility treated at the Conjugal Infertility Outpatient Clinic of the Professor Edgard Santos University Hospital (HUPES). Methods: This is a cross-sectional study based on medical records of infertile patients seen at the clinic, considering sociodemographic and clinical aspects. Data were tabulated and analyzed using Microsoft Excel 365. Results: A total of 214 infertile patients were analyzed, with a mean age of 35.99 years. Overweight was observed in 24.8% of patients, while 23.4% were obese. Additionally, 32.4% were sedentary, and 22.4% consumed alcohol. The main causes of female infertility were polycystic ovary syndrome, tubal obstruction, uterine fibroids, and endometriosis. Male and female infertility factors coexisted in 28.7% of cases. Most patients had previous pregnancies, with 74.48% experiencing at least one miscarriage. The mean duration of infertility was 5.8 years. Conclusion: Most infertile patients were 35 years old and had overweight or obesity. The main etiologies were consistent with the literature, and male and female factors frequently coexisted.
