Abstract

Objective: To develop an evidence-based mHealth application to assist in the diagnostic and therapeutic management of low back pain in Primary Health Care (PHC). Methods: This is a methodological applied study involving the development of an mHealth app for PHC physicians. A convenience sample was used, including 4 preceptors and 20 residents with at least 12 months of training in the Family and Community Medicine Residency Program. Participants who did not return the evaluation were excluded. The tool was made available alongside a Likert-type questionnaire with 10 questions assessing five usability characteristics: ease of learning, efficiency, consistency, ease of memorization, and satisfaction. The System Usability Scale (SUS) score was calculated to validate the tool. Results: Data were collected online over two months via Google Forms, yielding an SUS score of 72.3, classifying the tool as having "good usability" and validating it. Conclusion: Despite validation, the app requires improvements in design and ease of learning, along with constant updates to maintain quality and reliability.
