Abstract

Objective: To investigate productions that address the use of Artificial Intelligence in the provision of nursing care. Methods: This is a descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, of the integrative review type. The selection of articles was carried out between June and July 2024, through searches in the Virtual Health Library, using the search expression "care" AND "artificial intelligence" AND "nursing". Results: A total of 140 articles were found, of which, after filtering, 16 articles were selected that composed our sample. The selected articles demonstrate that the investigation of the possibility of using Artificial Intelligence in nursing is currently the subject of intense research; however, there are divergent opinions about its use in health care. Final considerations: With the rapid advances in health technology, evaluating the effects of AI in nursing is of fundamental importance, as it is understood that the development of care plans depends on data security, algorithmic transparency, and accountability. Finally, while AI models cannot yet provide a complete and safe care plan immediately, they may prove useful in the future.
