Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the evolution of uterine height, considering maternal pathologies. Methods: A total of 1,002 pregnant women were studied. Data from anamnesis and physical examination were used. The uterine heights were measured and grouped at weekly intervals, according to the Assis GP curve, 2021. The patients were divided into 4 groups, according to the pathology: group 1 - patients with diseases that occur with placental vascular alterations, group 2 - low-risk pregnant women, group 3 - patients with metabolic pathologies and group 4 - patients with other pathologies that do not represent metabolic or vascular damage. The data were entered into a spreadsheet and p<0.05 was considered. Results: A total of 1002 pregnant women were studied, with a mean age of 26.1 + 7.39 years, with a mean of 2.21 + 1.54 pregnancies and 1.0 + 1.31 deliveries and 0.2 + 0.1 abortions. There was an association between the evolution of uterine height and maternal pathology, so that group 1 had the lowest mean uterine height and group 3 had the highest mean in all intervals evaluated (p<0.001), when compared with the group of low-risk pregnant women. Conclusion: The uterine height curve is useful for guiding general practitioners with difficulty in accessing complementary exams.
