Abstract
Objective: To analyze the most recent contributions on the topic, exploring its impacts and challenges faced by women patients in the context of health. Literature review: Gender microaggressions may manifest in a subtle way, through stereotypes, disbelief in female complaints and neglect of care, which can compromise the doctor-patient relationship and adherence to treatments. In addition, the studies analyzed indicate that these experiences are associated with high levels of stress, anxiety and lower confidence in the health system, reflecting a significant impact on the quality of care. As combat strategies, we highlight the training of professionals, implementation of inclusive practices and creation of reception mechanisms for affected patients. Final considerations: Although there are advances in awareness of gender microaggressions, challenges persist in effecting structural changes in health care. The study emphasizes the need to understand health as an experience that goes beyond physiological logic, an indispensable condition for deconstructing exclusionary practices and promoting truly integral care to this public.
