Abstract
Objective: To identify information on etiology, diagnosis, diet and treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate on social networks. Methods: Netnography study, supported by a literature review, using the social networks Instagram® and Facebook®. The survey was conducted from May 2 to May 31, 2023. Results: Data published between 2013 and 2022. The initial search results in 235 pages, after the selection criteria, 10 pages were inserted in the sample. Four presented all the categories surveyed. Treatment was the most addressed category; Diet and etiology were the least addressed categories. It was found that there was no technical information for health professionals with clear and systematic information directed to the care of patients with cleft lips and palate. Conclusion: The information is reliable, addresses essential and basic aspects for the patient's teaching and self-care. However, the user is required to search multiple pages to obtain the complete information.
