Abstract

Objective: To assess the lifestyle and factors associated with quality of life of graduate students. Methods: This is a quantitative, descriptive-analytical, cross-sectional study conducted with 76 graduate students from the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA). The validated Fantastic Lifestyle (FVS) questionnaire was used to assess the pillars of lifestyle therapy (diet, physical activity, sleep, stress management, among others). Data were tabulated in Excel® and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: A high prevalence of overweight/obesity (55.26%) was found, with behavioral differences between genders (men had higher nutrition scores: 64.5% vs. 61.3% for women). A weekly workload greater than 20 hours was associated with reduced physical activity. Furthermore, 64.4% of participants reported poor sleep quality, which was correlated with high levels of stress and self-medication. Conclusion: The findings show that graduate students have multiple health risk factors, particularly nutritional issues, a sedentary lifestyle, and sleep disorders. This highlights the need for integrated institutional initiatives to promote healthy habits, manage stress, and improve quality of life in academic settings.
