The research was carried out in the Medical Clinical Wards. The data were analyzed Bardin’s content analysis method was applied, and the IRAMUTEQ software was used to organize the classes of ideas, from which the class “Religiosity, spirituality, and the patient’s desire” emerged. Results: The discourses revealed that spirituality contributes to the search for meaning in the face of suffering, providing support to patients and families, and manifesting in the relational bond between the multiprofessional team and the family. In addition to physical pain relief, spirituality broadens care to emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions. Multiprofessional integration and transcendence also stood out, expressed in values such as faith, hope, and music, which provide support in coping with illness. Conclusion: Spirituality proves to be fundamental in giving meaning to the process of illness and finitude, helping to reframe life and its finitude.
