Abstract

Objective: To analyze the influence of human activity on the transmission dynamics of TL and VL. Methods: This is an integrative literature review on the influence of human activity on the transmission dynamics of cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis. A search for articles published before May 2, 2025, was conducted in the Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, and Science Direct databases. The research question was: What is the influence of human activity on the transmission dynamics of cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis? The articles were uploaded to the free version of the Rayyan® platform for subsequent reading of titles and abstracts. Results: Of the 2,047 articles identified, only 10 met the eligibility criteria. Among the selected studies on this topic, articles were published from 2013 to 2024. These scientific productions were conducted in various locations, such as Iran and Colombia, but there was a predominance of publications focused on Brazil (approximately eight studies). Final considerations: We conclude that the occurrence of cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis cases is altered by intense anthropization. However, during the course of this study, few studies focusing on One Health focused on the Amazon region were found.
