Abstract

Objective: To identify and map national and international scientific literature on the main complications of enteral nutrition therapy in hospitalized patients between 2008 and 2023, resulting in the development of a bibliographic portfolio based on the Methodi Ordinatio. Methods: This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, conducted through a bibliometric review, based on the application of the Methodi Ordinatio, with a quantitative approach, to generate the bibliographic portfolio. Results: Documents were identified in the databases, enabling the export of 908 studies to Rayyan® software. Rayyan® enabled general information on the types of publications, the most frequently published source language, and the frequency of publication by period. These findings were then used to apply the classic laws of bibliometrics: Bradford's Law, Lotka's Law, and Zapf’s Law. Subsequently, mapping and correlation of the main authors of the portfolio were performed using VOSviewer® software. Final considerations: The findings show the limitation of publications regarding complications in enteral nutritional therapy in patients during hospitalization, which is an essential topic for filling the gaps in the literature.
