Abstract

Objective: To conduct a bibliometric analysis on the topic of the drug bleomycin and its use in the treatment of basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, which represent 95% of non-melanoma skin cancers. Methods: For this purpose, the Web of Science database was used in this study, with a time frame from 2001 to 2023, resulting in 407 documents analyzed. Results: The results presented showed that the topic is omnipresent in all years analyzed, that there is a diversity of authors, as well as prominent authors. Regarding scientific journals, the characteristics of those that publish the most varied were different, with journals exclusively focused on the topic of cancer, urology, and gynecology. The most frequently used keywords highlighted the form of treatment, the type of cancer, and drugs. Final considerations: It was found that the topic is prominent and that there is a trend for research on bleomycin and skin cancer to continue to be published.
