Abstract

Objective: To highlight the importance of disseminating anatomical knowledge and its clinical correlations to high school students, through the Anatomy in Schools Project, developed by the Human Anatomy League. Experience report: Teaching in Brazil faces difficulties in the integration between theory and practice, affecting learning, especially in the health area. To minimize this problem, the Anatomy League created the Anatomy in Schools Project, promoting an innovative approach. In the second half of 2024, the project was implemented in a school in Rio de Janeiro, benefiting high school students and medical students. The results showed an improvement in the understanding of anatomical contents and greater interest in health. For the students, the experience improved oratory and anatomical knowledge, essential skills for clinical practice. Final considerations: The association between theory and practice is essential for learning in the health area, and the Anatomy in Schools Project demonstrated the effectiveness of active methodologies in this process. Its continuity and expansion are fundamental to strengthening academic training, promoting the dissemination of anatomical knowledge, and preparing future professionals for the challenges of medical practice.
