Abstract

Objective: To analyze the occurrence of Lymphoid Leukemias in children aged 0 to 19 years in the Northern region of Brazil, from 2015 to 2024. Methods: A quantitative, descriptive epidemiological study using data from DATASUS. Parameters included age group, sex, federative unit, and a comparison between Lymphoid Leukemia and Myeloid Leukemia. Results: Lymphoid leukemias are classified as acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL) and chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL). An analysis between 2015 and 2024 showed that acute lymphoid leukemia had a higher incidence in children aged 2 to 5 years, with 788 cases registered, out of a total of 2,346 cases. It was found that there were more cases in males (1,368 cases) than in females (978 cases). Pará had the highest number of cases, with 1,439 cases. It was found that Lymphoid Leukemias are more frequent than Myeloid Leukemias, with 2,346 cases of Lymphoid Leukemia and 345 cases of Myeloid Leukemia recorded. Conclusion: It is concluded that the identification of genetic and socioeconomic factors is of great importance for diagnosis in the Northern region, as well as for supporting public policies, prevention strategies, early diagnosis, and improved access to pediatric health services, especially in regions with significant inequalities.
