Abstract

Objective: To outline the epidemiological profile of Dengue cases in the Legal Amazon from 2020 to 2024. Methods: This is a quantitative descriptive study using secondary data obtained from the Information Technology Department of the Unified Health System (DATASUS) for the period 2020–2024. Results: In the Legal Amazon, more than 391.000 Dengue cases were confirmed, with the highest incidence recorded in 2024 (107.938 cases). Laboratory testing was the most frequently used diagnostic method (n =  193.329); serology demonstrated the circulation of all four viral serotypes, with serotype DEN-1 being the most prevalent (n=8.090). Regarding the affected population, females accounted for the highest proportion (n=205.723). Among self-declared mixed-race individuals, the highest incidence was observed (n = 260.713), and the most affected age group was 20–39 years (n=139.915). Conclusion: The Legal Amazon is an endemic area for dengue fever, highlighting the need for in-depth investigations in locations that present critical periods for vector reproduction, prioritizing future research that articulates epidemiological, environmental, and climatic surveillance.
