Abstract

Objective: To identify, in the scientific literature, prenatal nursing care strategies that contribute to the prevention of obstetric violence. Methods: an integrative literature review was conducted in the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, the Nursing Database, and the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online databases in March 2025. The descriptors used were "Nursing Care"; "Prenatal Care"; and "Obstetric Violence," mediated by the Boolean operators "AND" and "OR." Results: The sample consisted of ten articles. Based on two analytical categories, "Women's Perceptions of Obstetric Violence: Knowledge and Experiences of Prenatal and Postpartum Care" and "Obstetric Violence and Care Practices: The Role of Nurses in Women's Care," these articles demonstrated that humanized prenatal care practices, such as welcoming, qualified listening, health education, and strengthening the professional-pregnant woman bond, contribute to reducing obstetric violence and promoting women's autonomy and empowerment. Final considerations: Nursing plays a central role in promoting humanized prenatal care, constituting a fundamental strategy for preventing obstetric violence. The need for investment in professional training and public policies aimed at humanizing obstetric care is highlighted.
