Abstract

Objective: To analyze quality of life according to sociodemographic and occupational factors among military police officers in Mato Grosso, Brazil, in 2024. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 1,001 active military police officers from the Mato Grosso Military Police, carried out online between June and July 2024. Sociodemographic and occupational questionnaires and the WHOQOL-BREF instrument were applied. Results: Good quality of life (31.73%) and satisfaction with health (31.32%) were reported by a higher proportion of officers. The psychological domain showed the highest mean score (58.11), while the environment domain had the lowest (53.72). Women and officers working in administrative duties presented the lowest scores across all domains, whereas those with higher education and shorter length of service in the corporation achieved the highest scores. The variables age group, skin color, marital status, family income, and rank showed statistically significant differences among their categories in at least two domains, particularly the psychological and physical domains. Conclusion: The findings indicate that sociodemographic and occupational factors affect the quality of life of military police officers, highlighting the need for targeted strategies to promote health and well-being.
