Abstract
Objective: Characterize the epidemiological profile of tuberculosis patients in the municipalities of Barra do Garças and Campinápolis, Mato Grosso. Methods: This is a descriptive, observational, cross-sectional epidemiological study, with secondary data derived from the Reporting Disease Information System (SINAN) and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). Results: The results showed that in Barra do Garças the largest number of people notified with tuberculosis was in the year 2018, aged between 40 and 49 years, predominantly in the race / white color, with most of the cases confirmed by laboratory and evolved to cure. In Campinápolis there was a higher number of cases in 2015, most of them aged 10 to 14 years, predominantly in the indigenous race/color, with most cases without laboratory confirmation and evolved to cure. Conclusion: Therefore, the profile of tuberculosis cases in both municipalities reflects the reality of each of them.
