ABSTRACT-

Objectives: To contribute to the process of hearing health education through the development, validation, and application of educational materials: an audiovisual tutorial and an illustrative written guide to assist in the use of individual hearing aids. Methods: This is an exploratory study with a mixed-methods approach (qualitative and quantitative). The study was divided into two stages: validation of the materials by specialists and evaluation of the materials' performance with patients. The sample consisted of 69 evaluators, including 9 judges and 60 patients. Validation was performed using the Content Validity Index (S-CVI) and the SAM score. Qualitative analysis was performed using the IRaMuTeQ software. Results: The educational materials were validated by experts, achieving satisfactory agreement. The target audience also demonstrated high acceptance, highlighting the clarity, organization, aesthetics, and applicability. The audiovisual tutorial, despite some technical suggestions, was considered didactic, while the written guide received an even more consistent evaluation, being seen as clear, practical, and useful for patients' routines. Conclusion: The use of educational technologies proves effective in promoting the autonomy of hearing aid users. Its implementation in hearing health services can reduce maintenance demands, optimize public resources, and improve the quality of care.
