Abstract

Objective: To understand the challenges faced by municipalities in reorganizing the Health Care Network (RAS) for the care of people with post-COVID-19 conditions. Method: Qualitative study based on Bardin’s Content Analysis, with semi-structured interviews conducted with 21 participants, including managers, health professionals, and community health agents across six municipalities. Results: From the participants’ statements, two thematic categories were defined: 1. Overview of post-covid-19 conditions, and 2. Operational aspects. Conclusion: The findings evidence that the pandemic has left gaps that require the strengthening of the RAS through more fluid coordination between levels of care and more effective inter-managerial cooperation. There is an urgent need to implement specific clinical guidelines, ensure sustainable funding, and invest in continuing education for health teams. Such measures are fundamental to ensuring integral, equitable, and properly coordinated care within the Unified Health System (SUS), adapting the system to new long-term epidemiological demands.
