Abstract
Objective: To analyze the conceptual approaches and care practices of nursing in the assistance provided to women who are victims of domestic violence. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, with a survey of scientific articles in the databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Articles published in Portuguese between 2020 and 2025 and with free access were included. The analysis was guided based on the principles of pre-analysis, material exploration, and treatment of results, conclusion, and interpretation. The final sample consisted of eight articles, whose data were organized into thematic categories and analyzed qualitatively. Results: Among the main findings, the categories “patient guidance,” “reception strategies,” and “continuing education” stand out, reinforcing the importance of nursing practice in the early recognition of signs of violence, qualified listening, humanized reception, and the safe referral of victims to the support network. Final considerations: It is concluded that nurses play an essential role in promoting comprehensive, ethical, and sensitive care, and continuous technical and emotional preparation is necessary to deal with the complexity of this social and public health demand.
