Abstract

Objective: To report on the experience of implementing continuing education actions, structured using the Scrum agile methodology, aimed at applying essential bundles in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Experience report: Continuing education was planned using the Agile Scrum methodology, contributing as a facilitator for the organization of ideas, resource production, execution, and evaluation of the efficiency of the entire process developed. The educational action aims to deliver an expository lecture using a PowerPoint presentation, directed at healthcare professionals working in patient care in the ICU, with an emphasis on preventive measures for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Final considerations: The use of the Scrum Method for planning and executing the activity enabled a structured, dynamic, efficient, and collaborative delivery, contributing to the improvement of managerial and communication skills among professionals involved in the care of critically ill patients. Furthermore, health education is highlighted as a tool for strengthening and transforming institutional culture.
