Abstract
Objective: To describe the epidemiological profile of patients treated after the COVID-19 pandemic in the Psychiatry discipline at the teaching clinic of UNIFACID. Methods: This was a documentary, cross-sectional, retrospective study with a descriptive design and a quantitative approach. The research population consisted of all patients treated at the from an institution of higher education, in the Psychiatry discipline, with medical records registered between 2022 and 2024. Patients who were registered at from an institution of higher education but did not have an open medical record in their name, or who had incomplete medical records, were excluded. Results: Women in adulthood, married, from Teresina – PI, diagnosed with anxiety and depression and undergoing pharmacological treatment based on sertraline, fluoxetine, and alprazolam showed the highest incidence in the years studied. Conclusion: Thus, the relationship between the changes brought about by the pandemic and the development of anxiety and depressive disorders is highlighted, which may be explained by the isolation experienced during this period, as well as uncertainties about the future.
