Abstract
Objective: To identify the nutritional strategies described in the literature for anti-obesity therapy with glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists. Methods: This is an integrative review whose guiding question is: "What nutritional strategies are reported in anti-obesity treatment with glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists?" The review was structured in the stages of question formulation, sampling, categorization, evaluation, interpretation, and synthesis. The search was conducted in November 2025 in the MEDLINE/PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, using Health Science Descriptors and Medical Subject Headings combined by the Boolean operator, AND. Results: Ten studies were included, predominantly observational designs. The main strategies identified involved: assessment and monitoring of energy/protein and micronutrient intake (vitamin D, iron, B12), guidance on protein distribution throughout the day, management of gastrointestinal symptoms to prevent decreased intake, encouragement of hydration, monitoring of body composition, and association with resistance exercise to preserve lean mass. Final considerations: Anti-obesity therapy with glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists should be accompanied by systematized nutritional interventions, focusing on protein adequacy, prevention of deficiencies, and symptom management.
