Abstract

Objective: To relate variables inherent to the user profile and aspects of endodontic treatment at a Dental Specialty Center in the municipality of Juiz de Fora, focusing on Endodontics. Methods: Observational study conducted through the analysis of 300 medical records, completed during the period of 2018-2025. Variables such as sex, presence of comorbidity, age group, presence of a referral guide, number and group of teeth to be treated, type of instrumentation used, number of sessions, and type of restorative technique were collected. The results were analyzed descriptively and by frequency. Results: A predominance of females (63%), absence of comorbidities (67%), and presence of a referral guide (88%) were observed. There was a higher frequency of treatment of one tooth per patient (54%), with molars being the most affected (44%). Multiple sessions were the most frequently used (92%), along with the mechanized technique (79%). Of the teeth treated, 69.3% received an indication for indirect restoration. Conclusion: There was a predominance of female adults, without comorbidities, and referred through a referral guide. Molar treatments prevailed, in multiple sessions, with mechanized instrumentation and indication for indirect restorations, highlighting the complexity of the cases and the need to strengthen comprehensiveness in the Unified Health System (SUS).
