Abstract

Objective: To analyze the impacts of bullying in Physical Education classes on student participation and the development of their self-esteem. Methods: This is an integrative review, in which a search was conducted in the Google Scholar, SciELO, LILACS, and CAPES Journals databases, followed by screening of titles and abstracts, and subsequently by full-text reading, following eligibility criteria. After selecting the studies, data analysis was performed using content analysis. Results: 8 articles were included, which allowed us to verify that bullying in Physical Education classes is frequently associated with public exposure, competitiveness, and the absence of inclusive strategies, favoring the exclusion of students who do not fit the standards considered acceptable by the group. A direct impact on self-esteem was also observed, affecting self-perception, emotional security, and the capacity for social interaction. Furthermore, institutional omission, lack of teacher mediation, and preventive actions contribute to the perpetuation of suffering and alienation among students. Final considerations: Bullying in Physical Education classes leads to student isolation and compromises students' self-esteem, making it essential to restructure teaching practices, strengthen listening skills, and value differences.
