Abstract

Objective: To analyze interprofessional digital health competencies included in the National Curriculum Guidelines for undergraduate Medicine and Nursing programs in Brazil, considering their articulation with collaborative education and current demands of the Brazilian Unified Health System. Methods: This qualitative and exploratory-descriptive study was based on documentary analysis of the National Curriculum Guidelines for Medicine (2025) and Nursing (2026). The documents were obtained from official sources of the Ministry of Education and analyzed using Bardin’s content analysis technique, with findings organized into thematic axes related to graduate profile, technical and ethical competencies, interprofessional education, and digital health. Results: Convergence was identified regarding the training of generalist and critical professionals prepared for collaborative practice at different levels of healthcare. The guidelines incorporate competencies related to digital health, telehealth, artificial intelligence, electronic health records, and ethical use of technologies, reinforcing integration between education, healthcare services, and interprofessional work. Challenges remain concerning curricular implementation, technological infrastructure, and faculty training. Conclusion: The integration of interprofessional education and digital health represents a strategic element for healthcare education in Brazil and for strengthening collaborative practices within the Unified Health System.
