Abstract

Objective: To describe the sociodemographic profile of individuals affected by long COVID in the Tucuruí Lake region, Pará, Brazil. Methods: Observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, and quantitative study using secondary data from the research group “Clinical, Laboratory, Therapeutic and Innovation Aspects in Long COVID-19”. We included 51 participants with confirmed COVID-19 between 2020 and 2023, recruited from September 2024 to September 2025, with complete sociodemographic data. Sociodemographic, educational, housing, and economic variables were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: There was a slight male predominance (50.98%) and a higher frequency of individuals aged 18 to 29 years (56.86%) and of residents of Tucuruí-PA (98.04%). Single participants and individuals with complete high school education predominated. Regarding housing conditions, there was a reduction in family cohabitation and an increase in individuals living alone during the post-pandemic period. Paid work in the private sector and family income of one to two minimum wages predominated. Conclusion: The findings characterize social, economic, and housing aspects of the study population and reinforce the importance of comprehensive care strategies for monitoring individuals with post-COVID-19 condition, considering the particularities of the Amazonian context.
