Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the knowledge of adolescents before and after an educational action on HIV/Aids. Methods: This is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach made possible through an educational intervention with pre-test and post-test carried out with 230 adolescents from a public school in Manaus. The collection took place in 3 moments: in the first, an instrument to characterize the profile and pre-test; in the second, educational action on HIV/Aids; in the third, post-test. Results: regarding the profile: 61.8% had started sexual life, 34% were male; 33.1% and 46.5% did not use a condom at sexarche or at the last intercourse, respectively. As for the pre-test, the average score was 49.1%. As for the post-test, 86.6% was obtained, which represents a jump of 37.5% in relation to the pre-test. Three group dynamics were applied during the educational action. Conclusion: It is concluded that the knowledge of the adolescents after the educational action on HIV/Aids was enhanced and strengthened.
