Abstract
Objective: To assess, through an integrative review, whether there is a difference in quality of life between elderly people in urban areas and elderly people in rural areas. Methods: This is an integrative literature review that aims to conduct research based on articles and by checking bibliographies, summarizing the results of the subject addressed in the thesis. Results: For this research, 12 articles were found in the LILACS database initially, after filtering, 03 articles were selected. In the BDENF database, 30 publications were collected, after filtering there was 01. In the SCIELO database, 02 articles were selected, after filtering, there was 01 article. The final sample consisted of 05 articles. Of these, there is a predominance of journals in the field of nursing and also the multidisciplinary category when we inform the academic background of the authors, emphasizing that it is notorious to assess quality of life (QOL) according to peculiar aspects, being analyzed by different professionals. Final considerations: Even though we found differences between QoL between elderly people in urban areas and elderly people in rural areas, it is necessary to carry out another study with a greater number of articles in which the variables are as close as possible, in order to obtain a better result.
