Abstract
Objective: To gather evidence on the health of the municipality of Careiro da Várzea through the synthesis of secondary data. Methods: This is an exploratory descriptive research, based on data from the Municipal Health Secretariat of the municipality of Careiro da Várzea and scientific articles from the Nursing Database (BDENF), Latin American and Caribbean Information databases in Health Sciences (LILACS), PUBMED and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), focusing on studies related to the theme of the last 10 years. Results: In the study, it is possible to identify the form of service provision of the health team, which faces several supply difficulties, on the other hand, to discover that in addition to the population studied, this is a reality of several other riverside communities. When presenting the health panorama of a riverside population, its main characteristics, its social determinants of health, in addition to its diversities, when using the services and its own methods of treatment, many curiosities regarding the population. Final considerations: The importance of seeking to know and present the health situation of a riverside region is reinforced, recognizing the difficulties faced by the population, and also by the health team, being fundamental.
