Abstract
Objective: To demonstrate the actions of the nurse in the home visit of basic care. Methodology: It is a literature review with 12 articles searched in the databases: LILACS, MEDLINE, SCIELO, using the descriptors: Home Visit, Family Health, Family Health Strategy and Nursing. Results: The actions of the nurse in the home visit (VD) should be performed in a humanized way to overcome the difficulties of each individual and / or family. Thus, the results showed that the nurses who work in the VD contribute to a more rapid recovery of the users with the support of their relatives and the recognition of their real needs. Final Considerations: It is concluded that nurses working in the VD bring great benefits in family care, such as reducing costs, approaching the individual and his family, active listening, understanding of the life situation of the people and identification of household risks.
