Abstract
Objective: To report the understanding of Help Attitudes towards the care of people with Fournier's Syndrome during hospital practice. Experience report: This is an experience report, carried out by nursing students from the curricular component Theoretical and Methodological Bases for Nursing Care during hospital practice in a public hospital in a city in Bahia. Guiding questions were used to assist the students' report. Based on the Help Attitudes framework of Joyce Travelbee's Nursing Theory, three subcategories emerged: Attitude to love, Ability to face reality and Ability to find meaning in life. Final considerations: Considering the learning process, the authors understood that the solidarity nourished by affection for the person during the execution of the procedures, expands the vision of care due to the concern and willingness to support the person. Despite the difficulties caused by the feelings that emerged, the poor communication and the vulnerable situation of the person with Fournier, reveal meaning in life by the responsibility to provide the best care, as a mission that will mark a lifetime.
