Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of risk factors associated with seroconversion after vaccination against hepatitis B in patients with dialysis chronic kidney disease. Methods: Cross-sectional study in chronic renal patients undergoing hemodialysis. The variables sex, age, PTH, phosphorus, Anti-HCV, hemoglobin and glycemia were evaluated and compared between the reagent and non-reagent Anti-HBs groups even after at least three doses of vaccination against Hepatitis B. Results: The mean age observed was 55 years old. 27.4% are female and 72.6% are male. Of the total number of men, 53.8% were from the positive anti-HBs group and 46.1% from the negative anti-HBs group. Of the total women, 61.9% had negative anti-HBs results and 38% positive anti-HBs. Regarding the fasting blood glucose test, 33.3% had values above 120 mg / dL. Regarding the phosphorus dosages, 7.84% of the patients presented values above 5.5% and 5.8% of the total group of patients obtained a dosage of albumin below 3.5mg / dl. Conclusion: More than half of the patients had changes in fasting blood glucose levels, with 52% of patients with negative anti-HBs being hyperglycemic and this factor may have influenced seroconversion after vaccination.
