Abstract

Objective: To analyze the scientific productions published in Brazil on the primary prevention to the use of drugs with children. Methods: This is an integrative review of the literature, researching scientific productions in Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Biblioteca Regional de Medicina (BIREME) and Google Scholar, using the keywords: Children, Drugs, Primary Prevention and Promotion Health. As inclusion criteria, articles, monographs, dissertations and theses with the theme of the study were adopted, complete scientific production, available in Portuguese, published in the years 2009 to 2018. Results: After data analysis, 5 studies (one from the North, two from the Northeast and two from the South)were listed from a universe of 1.040 productions found, using a research filter; the school established itself as the main scenario where educational practices were found. Two categories emerged: 1) Use of Active Methodologiesto approach the theme; and 2) The school environment as the main setting of these educational practices. Final considerations: here is an incipient number of productions published on the subject. The use of these methodologies presents itself as an innovative tool in the teaching-learning process, bringing promising results in the school environment.
