Abstract

Objective: To analyze the scientific studies that address the contributions of the Multiprofessional Residency in Family Health to the health services. Methods: This is an integrative review of the literature. A search was performed in the databases of the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) and Specialized Bibliographic Database in the Nursing Area (BDENF). Virtual Health Library (VHL). We included studies published in the period between 2013 and 2018; available in the chosen databases; full articles and texts published in Portuguese. Results: The initial search resulted in the identification of 74 articles, of which 6 articles that composed the final sample for analysis and discussion remained. Three categories became clear concerning the contributions of the residence, being: strengthening of the Permanent Education in Health (EPS), improvement in the work process and exchange of knowledges. Final considerations: There are incipient available productions that deal with the Multiprofessional Residency in Health, predominating the productions on Medical Residency. The existing productions do not primarily address contributions to services, the majority emphasizes the training of the resident professional and their experiences.
