Abstract
Objective: Analyze the most common maxillofacial traumas in marital aggressions, which have occurred against women, taking into account the scope of the Dentist Surgeon (CD). Literature Review: In the last decades it is observed that the occurrence of aggressions against the female sex has been progressing more and more, in a universal way, being progressively more continuous, one of the factors that lead to these complications is due to the conjugal violence in the routine life of these people, being directly observed due to the constant and incessant demand of women in public health services. There is a multiprofessional team to be able to help and support these women, however the DC is one of the trained professionals in which it has a better facility in identifying trauma caused by violence, needing to be ready to check the evidence. This fact is verified because of the preponderance of the resulting traumas being greater in the maxillofacial region, having the potential to generally surround soft tissues, bone parts, periodontal ligaments and dental elements. Final Considerations: In view of this, in addition to the possible changes in social life, the violence against women that occurs by his companions causes maxillofacial trauma, from which it is up to the CD to distinguish the etiological factors from the injuries, as well as the abusive practice.
