Abstract
Objective: Identify the themes of health worked with active elderly people in an extension project, through health education actions. Experience report: Descriptive study of the type of experience report, which presents the experiences of Nursing students, with active elderly people, from a historical perspective of the themes addressed and the activities carried out in four years of participation in a local project called “Acampavida”. Among the dynamics proposed to carry out health education for this audience, the "memory game", "Door of longevity," "care space," "bingo," games of myth and truth and others stand out. Between 2016 and 2019, several topics were addressed, which enabled the group to improve the construction and holding of workshops, providing access to information, training and interaction between the elderly, as well as the exchange of experiences between them and the academics, enabling greater knowledge about the reality and perspectives of this age group. Final considerations: Due to the growing population aging, the participation of Nursing in health education practices becomes relevant in order to promote self-care for the elderly according to their needs.
