Abstract
Objective: To review the environmental education and school space as a process of formation of the individual in the scientific literature, and to understand the way environmental education is inserted into the formal environment. Methods: The research is qualitative, since it tends to ascertain the information according to the reality analyzed, it is a literature review, because the methodology was based on bibliographical research. Results and Discussion: It was observed that it is necessary to establish a permanent Environmental Education, from pre-primary education to higher education. The school is preponderant in this process and also the participation of the community in order to enable the development of students, as well as their abilities and attitudes and their families. Final Considerations: Environmental education should reorient and articulate diverse disciplines and educational experiences that facilitate an integrated view of the environment, providing a closer link between educational processes and reality.
