Abstract

With the intention to recognize the influence of the physical exercise in the immune physiology, as well as its structural morfofunctioning, a descriptive study of bibliographical revision by means of database of articles of scientific literature was carried through: Bireme, LILACS, SciELO, PubMed and MEDLINE. The sample constituted of 23 (twenty and three) articles, amongst these, had been selected 9 (nine) articles for basic theoretical recital (excellent group 1) and 3 (three) articles complementary theoretical recital (excellent group 2). 11 (eleven) articles had only been discarded of the study (not excellent group) for the criterion “thematic relevance”. Ahead of the findings, one concludes that the benefit of the sport for the health of the individual is an imaginary concept in the popular one. Although it cannot be accepted as absolute truth, this idea has its evidence in data epidemiologists, evidencing lesser incidence of bacterial illnesses and capsizes, as well as lesser incidence of cancer in the population that practises physical exercises.
