Abstract
Objective: To evaluate and analyze the cytological aspects of acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL), in addition to the immunological markers of ALL and to correlate laboratory methods with the stages of ALL. Bibliographic review: Acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL) is a cancer of malignant neoplasia that affects in childhood and adolescence of 2-5 years (80%) of the cases and in adults above 60 years (20%) of the cases, affecting the cells hematopoietic of the lymphoid lineage, with the multiplication of blast cells that cause the accumulation of young cells in the bone marrow. For the evaluation of the cytological aspects of the cells, an analysis is carried out by cytological and laboratory techniques by means of hemogram, immunophenotyping, myelogram, cytochemical and cytogenetic methods. Final considerations: The morphological evaluations of ALL, contributes to the identification and classification of the B or T lineage of leukemias, with the use of cytological techniques they evaluate the characteristics of the leukemic cells for differentiation through laboratory techniques, resulting in an accurate diagnosis. It is important to start treatment quickly for an early diagnosis of the pathology to ensure a better quality of life for the patient.
