Abstract
This study aimed to identify how the Nursing Process is used as a tool of work of nursing in the hospital, as well as the advantages, disadvantages and limitations of its use. Integrative review was prepared through a search of publications in the databases LILACS, IBECS and CINAHL that allowed the selection of 13 articles, which were analyzed in two thematic categories involving objective of the study, methodological characteristics, advantages, disadvantages and limitations of the use of the Nursing Process. The results show that the Nursing Process a way to qualify the care provided to customers requiring an even longer for your application. The lack of technical knowledge and scientific knowledge and the lack of nurses is difficult to use this tool. With the commitment of these professionals can effectively apply the Nursing Process.
