Abstract
This study aimed to identify the nursing audit as a tool in quality of health services . It is integrative review conducted a search of the electronic databases of Medline , Lilacs , by bireme library. Studies published until October 2013 , the descriptors being used were selected : " Nursing audit " , " Health Evaluation " , " Quality of health care ." The following inclusion criteria were used : ( a) the sample must be available in English, Portuguese or Spanish ( b ) the articles were published in the year 2003 to 2013 , ( c ) the scientific articles are available in full and free electronically . Exclusion criteria : studies without abstracts , theses , dissertations and monographs . It is concluded that the audit nursing is an important tool for assessing the quality of health services . But we can point out flaws that make it difficult to measure the quality of care offered .
