Abstract
Objectives: This study aims to highlight the duties in nursing under the PSF with respect to normal delivery and the promotion of breastfeeding. Methods: The research was based on a review of current medical literature, through integrative review technique. Descriptors used: nurse midwives, labor, childbirth, nursing care in order to identify the nursing care in normal birth and breastfeeding in PSF. Results: The search for articles occurred in September 2013 period, were selected and analyzed 15 studies, lining data from sites like: Ministry of Planning and Health, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS) , Medical Literature Retrieval analysisand Sistem Online (Medline), Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) and medical literature obstetrics. Final thoughts: They pointed out that it is up to the nurse to act in promoting incentive stock in normal birth and breastfeeding by supporting mothers who breastfeed, improving significantly the quality of life of both the mother and the child.
