Abstract
Objective: This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence the pregnant woman when choosing the type of delivery to be performed. Methods: To achieve an integrative literature review was performed. Results: It was possible to verify that there are several factors that interfere with the pregnant woman the option for choosing the route of delivery, may be cited cultural, social, economic and participation of medical professionals. Conclusion: The study also shows that more professional performance during the prenatal period is essential, providing information on the advantages and disadvantages of each type of delivery, clearly and intelligibly.
