Abstract
Objective: To review through the existing literature the importance of addressing health issues in schools after the new coronavirus pandemic. Bibliographic review: At the beginning of the year 2020, infection by a new highly contagious disease, Covid-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019), caused by the Coronavirus, broke out in global proportions. The ability to spread the disease in addition to the results of investigations that point to the emergence of the disease through the consumption of raw animal meat, rekindles an old discussion about how to educate the population to prevent the emergence of new lethal viruses and how to develop a culture hygiene-based preventive action. The school environment emerges as an alternative for the dissemination of knowledge related to the theme, in addition to being the main means of access by the State to the social plans essential for the maintenance of human life in the future. Final considerations: Establishing educational plans aimed at hygiene and good nutrition consists of working preventively to prevent the emergence of new viruses such as Covid-19, as well as being an alternative to reinforce the environmental banner in classrooms in order to stimulate human contact with nature and promote a more accurate knowledge about the new possibilities.
